Mackay Regional Council is currently planning the upgrade of the Lambert’s Beach Lookout to create a purpose-built Whale Watching area.

The project, which is co-funded by the Department of Transport and Main Roads and Mackay Regional Council will reclaim the seaward side of the existing vehicle turnaround area, and convert the existing semicircular apron to a dedicated pedestrian-only environment from which visitors can enjoy the stunning panoramic views in comfort and safety - and hopefully spot a whale or two!

Previously in this Consultation....

You have the opportunity to get involved in planning for this proposed project! Come along to our Community Feedback morning on Saturday, 13 August, 2016. Members of the design team will be on hand to listen to your ideas. Drop in for five minutes, have a chat and enjoy morning tea.

Date & Time: 9:00-10.30am, Saturday 13 August 2016
Venue: Ram Chandra Park, Pacific Esplanade, Slade Point
RSVP: 4961 9975 or engagement@mackay.qld.gov.au

Mackay Regional Council has engaged local Architecture and Interior Design company BOLD to develop the final design of the space upon completion of the Community Consultation. BOLD will have staff representation at the Community Feedback morning.
