Mackay Regional Council recently completed an expansion of the Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) network and associated infrastructure in the Mackay City Centre. This project was funded by an Australian Government Safer Streets Programme grant. The project resulted in installation of an additional nine CCTV cameras in the City Centre to assist in the prevention of crime and increase community safety.
