Update #7 - September 16, 2025

Alsatia Park is now open and has new and improved facilities for the whole family to enjoy.
Despite weather delays caused by an extended wet season, Vassallo Constructions has delivered a revitalised park that reflects the ideas and feedback shared by the community during the consultation phase in 2022.
One of the most notable changes is the relocation of the playground to the western side of the park, creating a safer separation between younger children and skatepark users.
The playground has been upgraded with two themed play units, including a large harvester-with slides, climbing ropes and cubbies and a smaller tractor-themed unit designed for younger children, complete with shade.
Other new additions and upgrades include:
A youth hang-out space, which features new seating and a ping pong table. Watch this space for some new artwork by a local artist!
Upgraded skatepark with improved riding surfaces.
A new basketball half-court and football posts provide opportunities for informal games and active play.
Modern amenities including unisex disability and ambulant toilets, a drinking bubbler with a dog bowl, picnic shelters and a barbeque.
Improved accessibility and safety with new footpaths, fencing, drainage upgrades, additional shade trees, bins and updated signage.
Council will be hosting an official opening event to thank the community for their input during consultation and their patience during construction.
