Council with the assistance of the Queensland Government has upgraded the children's crossing on Anne Street in Walkerston to improve road safety at St John's Catholic Primary School.

The works included:

• New 3-metre-wide children’s crossing on Anne Street with a ramp, hard stand, signage and crossing poles.

• New kerb and channel on both sides of Anne Street.

• New 1.8-metre-wide pedestrian ramp crossing on the corner of Anne and Creek streets.

• New 2-metre-wide concrete footpath from the corner of Peak Downs Highway to the Creek Street bus stop.
