We all love the coast.

The Blacks Beach coastal unit supports rare and threatened species including migratory shorebirds, marine turtles and critically endangered beach scrub vegetation. It is also a popular recreational area for locals and visitors to our region. Mackay Regional Council invites you to join us to ensure that Blacks Beach is protected and maintained into the future.

A Draft Local Coastal Plan (LCP) has been developed to identify the natural values and issues at Blacks Beach and contains recommended management activities. Council are excited to show you the draft plans and are seeking your feedback on the draft LCP’s key recommendations.
