Boundary and Cowleys Road Intersection Completed

To improve public safety and reduce the number of traffic accidents, council has upgraded the Boundary Road and Cowleys Road intersection at Ooralea.

The upgrade was triggered by several traffic accidents in recent years.

A new offset-T design has been built and new signage installed, to slow traffic and distinguish Cowleys Road as the through road, with the intent to reduce the number of traffic accidents.

Council was successful in securing funding to upgrade the intersection in the 2020-2021 financial year through the Australian Government’s Roads to Recovery program.

This project has received $375,086 in funding from the Australian Government's Roads to Recovery program.
