Chain Street guardrail replacement

Contractor Pentacon, on behalf of council, wishes to advise that we will be undertaking guardrail replacement works in Chain Street, East Mackay. These works will improve safety.

The works will commence from Tuesday, October 6, 2026, with works expected to be completed late-October 2026, weather permitting.

Works will be undertaken between 6:30am and 6:00pm, Monday to Friday, with some weekend work potentially required.

A section of Chain Street will be closed with a short detour in place during the works. Traffic control will be in place to manage traffic. Please adhere to onsite signage and directions.

While works are under way, on street parking will also be impacted in sections of Chain Street in the area of works.
There will be some noise and dust disturbances with various plant and equipment on-site.
