Cooks Lane, Bakers Creek, kerb and channel replacement

On behalf of council, Vassallo Constructions will be replacing the kerb and channel on a section of Cooks Lane.

The work will also include the installation of new ramps to the children’s crossing and new concrete driveways to several properties.

The contractor is establishing the site from the week of March 9, with work to start from the week of March 23, weather permitting.

Construction will take place Monday to Friday between 6.30am and 6pm, and Saturdays as required.

Please note that during the works:

• Traffic control will be in place on Cooks Lane and Main Street with a reduced speed limit. Minimal traffic delays are expected. Please adhere to all roadside signage and instructions.
• On-street parking on Cooks Lane will be unavailable in front of Dundula State School and the opposite side of the road.
• The stopping zone for school drop-off will be available on Main Street with footpath and access to pedestrian crossing on Cooks Lane to be maintained. Please ensure driveways are not obstructed.
• Driveway access for some properties on Cooks Lane will be temporarily impacted during replacement. Property owners will be contacted 48 hours prior to any disruption.

Nearby residents may experience some noise and dust disturbances with various plant and equipment on site.

Work is scheduled to be completed in July 2026, weather permitting.
