Holts Road culvert repair

Council wishes to advise that contractor Gen White will be commencing culvert rehabilitation works at Holts Road in Richmond, between Mackay-Bucasia Road and Glenella-Richmond Road (closest to the cane rail level crossing), from early September 2026, weather permitting.

The work is necessary to help reduce flooding in the area and create a safer roadway.

Work will take place from 6.30am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. Work is expected to be completed by late October, 2026, weather permitting.

Traffic control, which includes single-lane, stop-and-go traffic flow and reduced speed zones, will be in place on Holts Road for the duration of the project during work hours. Motorists should expect short delays. Please follow all temporary traffic signage and directions provided by traffic controllers.

Access to adjoining properties will be maintained wherever possible. Where construction activities may temporarily affect property access, affected residents will be contacted prior. Council apologises for any inconvenience caused by these essential works and thanks you for your patience.

There will be some noise and dust disturbances with various plant and equipment on-site.
