Haliday Bay car park and footpath upgrade complete

Consultation has concluded

Contractor Durack Civil has completed the Headland Drive car park upgrade in Haliday Bay and installed a connecting footpath between Headland Drive car park and Haliday Bay Road car park.

The works were undertaken to help increase tourism and recreational use of Haliday Bay Beach and to alleviate the dust associated with the existing car park.

The works included:

  • Formalisation of car park with permeable pavers (opposite swimming enclosure)
  • Approximately 17 car parks
  • Connecting footpath between car park and beach access ramp
  • Two new picnic settings
  • Alterations and protection of existing water infrastructure.
