Hans Christian Street drainage upgrade

Mackay Regional Council wishes to advise that contractor Accelerate Communications will be undertaking early preliminary works for upcoming stormwater drainage works in Hans Christian Street, Sarina, on council’s behalf.

There are two stages to the works. During the first stage, council will be installing new conduits so Ergon Energy can relocate their services.

Stage one works will begin during June, weather permitting. The preliminary works are expected to be completed by late June, 2025. Please refer to map overleaf of the area of works.

The works will be undertaken from 6.30am to 6pm, Monday to Friday. Some weekend work may also be required.

During the construction of the preliminary works, access will be available to all properties. Please be mindful of the traffic management in the area.

There will be some noise and dust disturbances with various plant and equipment on-site.

Stage two of the project will be undertaken during 2026 and will improve drainage in the area.
