We have made some minor changes to council’s existing Corporate Plan and changed the term of the document to 2016-2021. Now we want to hear from you about the document that will guide council’s decision-making for the next five years.

The Draft Corporate Plan is a legislative requirement. It is the core strategic document that helps council set its annual Budget and Operational Plan.

The Corporate Plan 2016-2021 has been informed by many long term strategies and with input from council staff, Councillors and a range of community groups and key stakeholders.

This draft version focusses on the key pillars of building business confidence, growing employment opportunities, enhancing liveability and protecting the environment.

We are now seeking feedback on that draft from the broader community before council adopts the plan in at the end of June 2017.

    What’s changing?

    Some of the wording has been changed from the previous plan, which was adopted by the previous council in June 2015.

    We have reviewed and refreshed some key outcomes and placed a stronger focus on the economy and the importance of liveability.

    The draft Corporate Plan 2016-2021 identifies key issues under each outcome area as priorities for the next five years.
