Designing the new McCreadys Creek South Regional Wetlands
Consultation has concluded

This consultation has now closed. Thank you to everyone who participated. Results will be collated and a report written to inform both the detailed and functional designs.
Planning is underway to transform the old cane paddock across from Masters to its former glory and create a regional wetland as part of a design being developed by Mackay Regional Council.
Funded largely from developer contributions, the wetlands design aims to improve water quality and assist with stormwater management following a number of new developments in the area. However, the wetlands will be much more than this; residents and tourists alike will be able to enjoy the recreational and environmental aspects of this new open space.
We want to know what you would like to use the wetlands for and what you would like to see included in the design. Will you walk your dog, have a picnic with the kids, workout, bird-watch, or simply admire the botanical selection of plants.
