Traffic changes for Archibald and Milton streets, temporary full road closure for pavement works
Mackay Regional Council wishes to inform you of the next stage of works for the Milton and Archibald streets intersection upgrade.
Bellwether will be undertaking pavement activities to the north and south of the intersection of Milton and Archibald streets in the coming weeks. These will be completed as night and day works.
Milton Street (both directions) will be temporarily closed between Clements Street and Boundary Road East to complete these works, please see map in the photo panel.
These works will be completed over one weekend to minimise disruptions to businesses and motorists. Work will start at 6pm, Friday, June 17 and will finish 6pm, Sunday, June 19, weather permitting.
Local access will be provided via the southern end of Milton Street for businesses accessing Ginger, Pearce, Tracey, Heidi and Heinrich streets. Residents who are north of the intersection back to Clements Street will have local access from the northern end of Milton Street during the works.
Traffic control and detours will be in place during these works, please follow all signage and directions as well as specified speed limits.
There will be some noise and dust disturbances expected due to the various plant and equipment on site however appropriate controls will be in place to minimise impact.
Should you have any questions, please contact Bellwether’s site supervisor Pearse Keating on 0474 528 569 or council's community engagement officer Rebecca McDermott on 1300 MACKAY (622 529).
This project is proudly funded by the Queensland Government through the Transport Infrastructure Development Scheme (TIDS) and Mackay Regional Council.
