Fergus Builders, on behalf of council, will be constructing a shared path on Eimeo Road from Badyari Yalu Road to Montgomery Street in Rural View.

This important project will close a missing link in the active transport network for the Northern Beaches, joining the Northern Beaches Shopping Centre to Blacks Beach.

This will create a safer and more accessible route for both pedestrians and cyclists.

The new path will also enhance overall road safety and improve connectivity to the Northern Beaches Community Hub.

The works will begin in early-April and are expected to be completed by late-June, weather permitting.

Works will be undertaken from 6.30am to 6.30pm, Monday to Friday. Some weekend work may also be required.

Occasional intermittent traffic disruptions are expected while some construction activities are under way. Please adhere to all roadside signage and instructions.

There will also be some noise and dust disturbances with various plant and equipment on-site.

Should you have any questions about these works, please contact council’s Community Engagement Team on 1300 MACKAY (622 529) or email engagement@mackay.qld.gov.au.

This project is proudly funded by the Queensland Government through the Transport Infrastructure Development Scheme (TIDS) and Mackay Regional Council.
