Mackay Regional Council wishes to advise that we will be undertaking the renewal of the aged water main at Palm Tree Creek Crossing along Mackay-Eungella Road, Pinnacle.

The new water main will connect water from Gargett to Pinnacle and improve water reliability.

The works will begin on Monday, April 20, weather permitting. The works are expected to be completed late May, 2026. Please refer to map overleaf of the area of works.

Works will be undertaken from 7am to 6pm, Monday to Friday. Some weekend work may also be required.

There may be minimal traffic disruptions with reduced speed zones in place as required.

There will be one water interruption from 9.30am to 3.30pm in late April, weather permitting. Residents will receive 48-hours’ notice of the water interruption.

We encourage residents to store extra water in their homes for that interruption period, prior to works beginning, so there is water on hand for drinking, washing hands and flushing toilets during the day.

There will be some noise and dust disturbances with various plant and equipment on-site.

We thank you for your patience during these essential works.

Should you have any questions, please contact council’s Community Engagement team on 1300 MACKAY (622 529).
