Council will be undertaking works to replace a culvert on Sarina Beach Road, north of Brooks Road, Sarina.

Works are scheduled to commence on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, with the project expected to be completed within five weeks, weather permitting.

Work hours will be Monday to Friday, 6.30am to 6pm, and weekends where required.

Traffic conditions will change during the works, with the following arrangements in place:

  • Motorists will not be able to turn onto Sarina Beach Road from Brooks Road for the duration of the works.
  • Temporary traffic signals and single-lane traffic will be in place on Sarina Beach Road near the Brooks Road intersection for approximately four weeks at the commencement of the works. Two-way traffic will then resume for the remainder of the works.

There may be some noise and dust associated with these works, however measures will be put in place to minimise the disturbances.

Council apologises for any inconvenience caused and appreciates your patience while these works are under way.
