Playground softfall renewal

PW Landscapes, on behalf of council, is replacing the rubber softfall in various playgrounds to ensure the longevity of the play spaces.

The rubber softfall will be replaced with similar rubber or artificial turf.

The playgrounds undergoing maintenance include:

• Quota Park, East Mackay
• John Breen Park, North Mackay
• Canelands Park, Mackay
• James Muscatt Park, Walkerston
• Bluewater Quay, Mackay Riverfront

These repairs will take place between mid-July to mid-September 2025, weather permitting. Each playground will be closed for up to two weeks during this time while the repairs take place. Please see the Timeline for a detailed breakdown of the schedule.

All play equipment will be reinstated.
