JMAC Constructions on behalf of council is completing renewal works at Tanglewood Park in Andergrove.

The works include the installation of new play equipment which will increase the size of the available play space, cater to a wider age range and introduce some inclusive play elements. New trafficable rubber softfall tiling will also be installed in the play spaces.

Improved landscaping, additional seating and connecting concrete paths have also been included in the design.

Care has been taken to keep as many of the existing trees as possible. However, an arbour inspection has found that two trees (a Banksia & a Melaleuca) within the site are structurally unsound and pose a public safety risk. They will be removed. All other trees will be protected and monitored during construction works.

Work will be undertaken between 6am to 6pm, Monday to Friday and Saturdays (as required). This project is expected to be completed by October, 2025, weather permitting.

The playground will be closed for use while work is underway. Some noise and dust disturbances are expected with various plant and equipment on site.

The shared path that connects Dapplewood Close to Oak Street will remain open. However, a small detour off the concrete path may be required during some of the works.

You can check out knowyourburb.com.au to find more parks in your area or call 1300 MACKAY (622 529) to book birthday parties and special events.

We thank you for your patience while these exciting improvements are delivered. We look forward to seeing families enjoy this new space soon!
