The annual ANZAC Day commemorative parades are a long standing community tradition.
It provides an opportunity for schools and the community to participate in the ANZAC Day events occurring throughout the Mackay region.
This year, as a result of feedback and observations, changes were made to enhance the parade experience.
It is important that you are aware of the changes including:
- “Drop and go” points for primary schools
- “Drop and go” points for secondary schools
- A (limited) bus service from Caneland to the main assembly area on the corner of River and Gregory Streets
- Car parking at Caneland
- Gathering point for day care and kindy children
- Road closures.
