Have your say about Council's Animal Management Strategy 2017-2021

Council has developed a Draft Animal Management Strategy in accordance with the Animal Management (Cats and Dogs) Act 2008, and to align with the directives of Council's Corporate Plan 2017-2021.

The strategy seeks to ensure that the needs of animals and their owners are addressed, and promotes responsible pet ownership in the community. Pet owners have a responsibility to ensure that their legislative obligations are met when owning a pet. The strategy aims to identify a list of objectives to support and promote ongoing care and management of animals in the region.
