The Victoria Street playground is being replaced for the Mirani community!
You've probably noticed the playground is getting a bit old so now it's time to get a new one in for the kids to enjoy.
The new equipment that will soon replace this playground will cater to a wider age group. That means more children can play on it!
You'll also be able to enjoy the shaded comfort of the permanent roof structure. Once installed, it'll offer all-weather protection over the smaller children's area so activities can go on rain, hail or shine.
And, of course, to stop the kids from running out onto the road or the nearby rail corridor, the play area will be fully enclosed with child-proof fencing.
The play equipment will continue to be close to the existing picnic shelter and electric BBQ facilities.
It'll remain as a perfect spot for the local Mother's Group being so close the library, not to mention the great parking conveniently located on Victoria Street.
