Cyclone Debbie ripped through our region in March 2017.
This saw flooding that some residents say was the worst they have ever seen.
Council would like to hear about the flood flows, the water levels in the catchments and any other impact the cyclone had on you and your property.
With your input and feedback, the probability of the Cyclone Debbie event will be estimated and other factors impacting on the flooding will be reviewed.
From this flood study Council will make recommendations to improve planning, emergency management and disaster preparedness in the catchments.
Council was successful in receiving funding assistance to undertake the flood studies from the Australian and Queensland Governments through the 2017- 2018 Natural Disaster Resilience Program (NDRP).
