How can we improve Brooksfield Park?

Brooksfield Drive Park is set to receive an upgrade.

Mackay Regional Council will undertake works at Brooksfield Drive Park in the near future and we want your input to determine the best use of the space.

You've probably noticed that the current play equipment has aged and is due for replacement. You may have also noticed that this park is in close proximity to a much larger children's' park at Owen Jenkins Drive.

As young children are already catered for at Owen Jenkins Drive, there is an opportunity to create a space at Brooksfield Park that adolescents and young people can use.

The Sarina Beach Progress Association has approached council with the suggestion to install a half basketball court. We think that this is a great fit for Brooksfield Park, but further community consultation is required to make sure we get it right.

Update: Council held a community consultation session in Brooksfield Drive park on August 25, 2019 to help us better understand the Sarina Beach community's priorities when re-designing the park. An online survey also remained open for one month.

We thank all residents for their input which will now be used to guide the design process.
