Vassallo Constructions, on council’s behalf, will be constructing a new concrete path to connect the existing shared pathway at Joe Johnson Street to the Esplanade.

The new shared pathway will improve the existing shared pathway network from Seaforth Reservoir Road, providing greater accessibility for residents and students.

Work will begin on Monday, February 9, and is expected to be completed by April 2026, weather permitting.

Construction will take place Monday to Friday from 6.30am to 6pm, and Saturdays as required from 6.30am to 6pm.

There will be changes to traffic conditions with minimal delays expected. Please follow the directions of traffic control.

Construction equipment may generate noise and dust nearby. We appreciate your patience while we work to improve Seaforth’s pathway network.

This project is funded with the support of the Queensland Government’s Work's for Queensland program in association with Mackay Regional Council.
