Stage 2 works to install the new access chambers along Shakespeare Street will start from Monday, July 20.

Details of works:

From Tuesday, July 21 to Thursday, August 13, work will take place between Hucker and Creal streets.
From Friday, August 14 to Thursday, August 20, work will take place between Wentford and Gold streets to reconstruct the deteriorated line near Byron Street.
From Friday, August 21 to Thursday, September 10, work will take place between Wentford and Sydney streets. Sydney Street intersection will remain open during this section of the works.
From Friday, September 11 to Tuesday, September 15, work will take place in front of McDonalds at the Sydney Street intersection. Turning lanes on Syndey and Shakespeare streets will be impacted and motorists should detour via Juliet or Wood streets.

Cross streets within the work areas will be closed for 3-4 days each, however, dates are subject to change. To avoid traffic delays, please detour via East Gordon Street or Evan Street for the duration of the works.

There are noise and dust disturbances expected with these works.

Stage 3 relining will commence from Monday, September 21, weather permitting.
